TruProof™ Set for Commercial Release

Breakthrough Device & Technology Offer Advanced Meter Proving

HOUSTON, TX, SEPTEMBER 10, 2013: Coastal Flow Liquid Measurement, Inc. (Houston, TX), in alliance with Flow Management Devices, LLC. (Phoenix, AZ) and Applied Metrology Resources, LP (Houston, TX), today announced the launch plans and schedule for TruProof, an innovative and exceptionally accurate solution for advanced meter proving that will be especially beneficial for hydrocarbon gas and liquid measurement.

The result of more than 10 years of comprehensive R&D, and with a focus on reducing errors associated with manufactured pulse technologies produced by signal delay, the TruProof technology dramatically improves the accuracy and repeatability of meter proving. Software based on this methodology employs time correlation to synchronize a meter’s output signal with the comparative prover volume measured during the meter proving process.

An eponymous microprocessor-based device which incorporates the TruProof technology is planned for commercial release during the fourth quarter of 2013. This rugged and highly portable hardware will integrate with existing proving systems — such as the state-of-the-art provers manufactured by Flow Management Devices, as well as industry-leading meter performance software PROVEit® from Flow-Cal, Inc. (Houston, TX) — to bring these technical advances, including time correlation, to mainstream industrial meter proving. Coastal Flow Liquid Measurement will be Master Distributor for TruProof and a North American sales representative, while Flow Management Devices will be a worldwide OEM sales representative. The three-company alliance will also be developing channels for TruProof international sales.

Mr. Galen Cotton, a highly experienced instrumentation industry executive, formerly a partner and senior manager with Caldon (later acquired by Cameron) and other major firms, and now principal with Applied Metrology Resources, expressed his unqualified support for TruProof when describing its technical development. Mr. Cotton said, “The three organizations involved in the development of TruProof’s leading-edge technology are all leaders in their respective flow measurement industry segments, and each contributed considerable technical resources for TruProof’s development. The fruits of those labors will undoubtedly have a significant impact on industrial flow measurement, in general, and custody transfer applications, in particular.”

More details on TruProof are available from Mr. Stephen Whitman of Coastal Flow (TruProof@coastalflow.com) or Mr. Alex Ignatian of Flow MD (TruProof@flowmd.com), as well as on the web (www.TruProof.com).
